Service Truck Technician
Description
$2,500 Sign-On Bonus!The Service Truck Technician maintains refrigerated and dry van trailers by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting equipment deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing refrigerated/dry van trailer problems on multiple makes and models of trailers
- Maintenance and repairs on multiple makes and models of refrigerated/dry van trailers.
- Maintains accurate vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
- Ensuring compliance with company safety procedures and policies.
- Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
- Safely operate a NAPA service truck to make repairs to company equipment roadside or at customer facilities.
- Available for service calls outside of standard working hours on a rotating basis.
- Abide by all yard control safety guidelines at both NAPA & customer facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of related experience.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certifications: Valid CDL & PA State Inspection License is a plus.
