Our History

The story of our name says a lot about us.  The name NAPA comes from the first names of the founder’s children: Nic, Alexis and Patrick Accomando.  We’re a family business!  We’re invested in building our family through growth, hard work and providing support to each other.  We treat our employees like family…because they are.

1991
NAPA Transportation, Inc. is founded with 4 drivers and 4 trucks. It's located at 6430 Baseshore Road, Mechanicsburg PA.

NAPA has grown to 60 drivers and moved to a larger facility located at 6400 Baseshore Road, Mechanicsburg PA
2002
NAPA has grown to 100 drivers and purchases a 12.5 acre property at 4800 East Trindle Road, Mechanicsburg PA equipped with in-ground fueling stations, 4-bay maintenance facility, 40-door cross-dock warehouse with 8,000 sq ft of office space.

NAPA purchases North & South Lines, a 90-truck fleet located in Harrisonburg, VA.
2007
NAPA purchases the assets of PTI Trucking located in Harrisonburg, VA

North East Logistics (NEL) is formed as a Division of NAPA Transportation to provide brokerage & 3PL services to our customers.
2011
NAPA purchases the assets of Payne Trucking’s Van Division, a 70-truck fleet located in Fredericksburg, VA. NAPA now employs 275 drivers.

NAPA relocates it's Fredericksburg, VA terminal to Richmond, VA. to better align with a continually growing customer base. NAPA purchases LC Trucking in Altavista, VA and now employs 325 drivers.
2016
NAPA celebrates 25 years in business and employs 340 drivers.

NAPA opens a new terminal location in Columbus, Ohio and purchases Penns Best, a 85-truck fleet in Tunkhannock, PA

NAPA purchases Kapmeyer Trucking, a 20-truck fleet in Tunkhannock, PA
