Orientation Coordinator
Description
NAPA Transportation is looking for a highly motivated Orientation Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you’ll manage all aspects of our new driver orientation program—ensuring that new hires are equipped with the training, tools, and support they need for a successful transition into their driving careers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain an efficient and organized orientation schedule for new drivers
- Deliver engaging and effective training programs tailored to different learning styles and personalities
- Build strong relationships with new drivers to foster retention and team culture
- Evaluate and monitor new driver performance and provide feedback to leadership
- Conduct post-training assessments to ensure readiness and compliance
- Collaborate with company leadership to keep training content current and compliant
- Research and recommend new training tools, trends, and best practices in the transportation industry
- Develop employee retention strategies that align with company goals
- Promote and model NAPA’s Core Values in all aspects of training and communication
- Perform additional duties as required by business needs
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to connect with diverse individuals and adapt to varying learning styles
- Time management skills to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and NAPA’s mission and values
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience facilitating training programs in transportation preferred
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
