Join our dynamic team at NAPA Transportation, Inc., where you\'ll perform essential repairs and maintenance on our fleet of tractors and trailers. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities
- Vehicle Diagnostics: Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to assess vehicle condition, identifying worn or damaged parts.
- Tire and Wheel Maintenance: Diagnose and repair tire wear and wheel-end issues, including charging and starting systems.
- Basic Engine Diagnostics: Perform mechanical diagnostics on engine components to ensure optimal performance.
- Suspension & Frame Repairs: Diagnose and replace components such as springs, air bags, and torque rods.
- Installation Tasks: Install various components, including cab extenders, quarter fenders, cross members, door glass, and windshields.
- Test and Verify: Conduct in-yard test drives to verify repairs, adjusting controls and systems as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure vehicles meet federal and state requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1 year of related experience required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Diesel Mechanic Certification or equivalent experience is essential.
